Shannon’s article in May 2021 issue of Early Music America

Shannon explores her experience of enduring vocal symptoms from hormonal change during perimenopause/menopause that affected her career prematurely, and the subsequent difficult transitions she had to make.  Her hope is to end the taboo within the industry, provide information, support singers and others that are going through similar changes to let them know that they are not alone. These abrupt changes in career are particularly relevant today with so many artists having to forge new careers because of COVID.
